You may be involved in a committee even if
you are not an elected member. However, if a
decision comes down to a vote, only committee members
elected by Charge Conference or Church Council have a
vote.
-
All committees except Staff-Parish are
open meetings. This means anyone can attend at any
time and offer ideas and assistance.
-
Let the Chairperson know when you have an
item for the agenda.
-
As the Holy Spirit leads you, contact the
chairperson or coordinator to learn more about the
ministries and to find out what needs to be done.
-
The Charge Conference elects committees
annually. The Lay Leadership committee and election
by the Church Council add additional committee members
throughout the year to fill vacancies, ensure continuity
and to encourage participation.
-
If you must step down for part of the
year, or resign, please contact your coordinator and
speak with the pastor. We want to minister to you,
clarify the circumstances, and ensure continuity of the
ministry.
-
Some activities are funded through the
budget, others through your donations. To be
reimbursed for budgeted activities,
1. Let the Chairperson know you are making an authorized
purchase with budgeted funds
2. Keep your receipts
3. Fill out a voucher
4. Staple the receipt to the voucher and place it in the
Treasurer's box. Contact your leader so that he/she can
keep track of spending

The Sandra Ritter schedules meeting rooms
for everyone. Please inform her of your request for
meeting times, space, and special needs. Generally,
we allow thirty minutes between events in the fellowship
hall. Our rooms are in constant use. We thank
you for staying on schedule as you meet and respecting
others as they use our church.
-
Sandra Ritter coordinates the information
for the weekly bulletin, The Flame, and the
calendar. A good rule of thumb is to promote your
event at least three weeks in the bulletin and at least
once in
The Flame.
Contact
the webmaster
to promote your event on the church
website.
